My path into SEO started through real estate database management. As Inside Sales Database & Client Relations Manager at the Jim Allen Group (Coldwell Banker Howard Perry & Walston), I managed the CRM infrastructure that powered a top-producing real estate team in Raleigh, NC. That role taught me what most SEO consultants never learn: how traffic converts downstream, where leads die in the pipeline, and why clean data matters more than any ranking.
That operational foundation became the basis for Scale With Search, where I now build search systems for B2B companies. The consulting practice grew from a simple observation: mid-market companies ($5M-$50M revenue) face a structural gap. They've outgrown freelancers, can't justify a $140K+ full-time SEO lead, and traditional agencies charge senior rates for junior execution.
Fractional consulting fills that gap. I embed as a senior resource for 10 hours monthly, capped at 5 clients to guarantee execution quality. Every methodology I use is documented publicly through my writing, because if your consultant's value depends on keeping secrets, their value is fragile.
